AHPA Receives Patient Partnership Award

The American Herbal Products Association (AHPA), Silver Spring, MD, was awarded the Patient Partnership Award from Americans for Safe Access (ASA) in recognition of AHPA’s work in developing recommendations to state regulators in states where medical cannabis is legal. ASA, founded in 2002, is now the largest national member-based organization of patients, medical professionals, scientists and concerned citizens promoting safe and legal access to cannabis for therapeutic use and research. In accepting the award, AHPA President Michael McGuffin acknowledged the AHPA board of trustees for “its vision in enlarging the AHPA tent to include medical cannabis.”
